Cara visited Chico Hotsprings with Danny and the following tells how they got on.

Chico Hotsprings is a hotel - it has a pool, hot tub and Saloon. It was built in 1900. In the 1800s people were planning to build Chico, but nobody did until 1900.

Chico Hot Springs used to have roofs over the pool and hot tub, but then there was a storm which took down the roof of the pool, so they left the roof down.  Chico was built over a natural hot springs, that's how it got it's name.  There are a lot of hot springs in this area because molten rock (magma) lies under the surface. It heats up the water as it rises to the surface.

Cara was really excited.  When we got there she first relaxed.  She really enjoyed her stay at Chico.
