Mrs Dorrington and her class visited the Great Divide for a spot of skiing. Kill o' the Grange pupils are totally envious of this adventure! Thank you for sending us the following.
In February out class went up to the Great Divide Ski area for a day of skiing. For some students, this was the first time on the slopes. Before the actual ski day, the students spent time with a ski instructor learning about ski safety and the rules of the slopes. They had tons of questions. On the day of the trip, the students rode a bus 20 miles to the nearby mountain. They rented equipment or used their own. The first part of the day they took lessons from the wonderful instructors there. After their lesson, they were able to ski with a buddy. Many students felt this was the best day of school ever!
The temperature was in the low 40sF (several degrees above freezing) with fresh snow and bright blue skies. The students loved scannning the vista as they rode up on the ski lifts. Click on any of the following pictures for a closer look.
