We are very grateful to Tatum and her family for taking Cara to Yellowstone National Park and for having her as a guest at Thanksgiving. Thank you Tatum, for the following.

Cara visited the Boiling River, Yellowstone National Park, and joined us at the Thanksgiving dinner table. Cara saw a lot of snow everywhere, by the Boiling River, by Yellowstone, and outside the window of our house.

Yellowstone is a historical place.  It is one of the first national parks in the world, and the first national park in the U.S.A.   Yellowstone has a lot of animals, like buffalo, and elk.  Cara and I saw a lot of elk, but no buffalo.

The Boiling River is a very HOT river in one spot and very cold in another spot.  It is fed by natural hot springs.  If you get in the middle, it is nice and warm.  WOW!!!!  Yellowstone is a wonderful, beautiful national park with great scenery.  The Boiling River is great fun!

I would have to say, the Thanksgiving dinner was the absolute best.  We had lots of turkey and mashed potatoes.  My favorite, was the pies.  Apple pie, pumpkin pie, and my favorite cake  was the chocolate cheese cake.  It was delicious.

People here in America celebrate Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is always on the last Thursday of November. The Pilgrims came to America a long time ago in the 1600's.  The first Thanksgiving took place along the east coast of the United States.  The early settlers and the native Americans celebrated the first Thanksgiving in autumn after a successful harvest. This festival lasted for three days.  At most Thanksgiving dinners people eat turkey, mashed potatoes, and for dessert lots of pie and cake.
