Our School Tour 4/12/2002

On the fourth of December our class went to the Coca Cola factory .We left our school at 10.45. We arrived at the Coca Cola factory at 11.05. When we got off the bus we were welcomed in. The man who brought us on the tour was named Tom. When we went in to the factory everyone said there was a weird smell. The man said that was the smell of plastic burning. Then Tom brought us around the place. Then he asked us questions. If you get picked and answer the question right you get a can of Coke. We went into the hall and looked at a picture of a Polar Bear. If you stare at it long enough it's eyes will shake. And then we went back to the sitting room. A lady called Maureen told us the story about Coca Cola. She said that Coke was sold in 200 different countries and 90 different languages. She then told us the rest of the story. Someone knocked on the back window. It was no one else but SANTA CLAUS. When he came in everyone cheered. If you shook his hand you would get a can of Coke. I shook his hand but Maureen did not see me. At 1.40.We got back at 2.35 and that was our day at the Coca Cola factory.

Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt in main in Germany. She was the daughter of Otto and Edith Frank and had one older sister called Margot frank. Otto frank was not happy with Hitler so they moved to Holland.
Otto set up a factory that produced jams. The family lived in safety in Holland until invaded by Germany. From this time on there lives became restricted as a result of the anti-Jewish decree, for example [ They were not allowed to own their own bikes or go out after six]
Otto brought them to a secret annex in the office. When they moved into the annex it was very dirty so they cleaned it up. They put blinds on the windows so people would not see them. They put posters on the walls. And made beds. Every morning one of the workers brought them breakfast. During the day they had to be very quiet so that no one would inform the Germans of their hiding place but after six o/clock they could talk and play and listen to the radio until they went to bed.
During the time that they spent in hiding (20 months) Anne wrote several diaries which she named Kitty telling about her time spent in the annexe with her family. They received visits from four of the people who worked for her father and had remained their friends. These people risked their lives by helping to hid them from the Germans and get them whatever food they could.
One morning the Germans broke into the factory and arrested them in the Annexe no one ever found out who told the Germans and it remains a secret to this day. After they were captured they were separated and sent to different concentration camps. Her mother and father were sent to Auschwitz and she and her sister were sent to Belsen. After nine months Anne became ill and died she was only fifteen.
Months later the Allies freed the remaining camps and once her father recovered his health he went in search of his family. Months later he found out that his whole family had died and he decided to return and visit the Annexe in Holland. When he got there he fond the diaries beside her bed. They made a book out of it and they still sell it all over the world.

One day four friends called Cian, Blaine, Keith and Darragh went on a walk into the forest.
On the way down Cian's dog ran after them so they brought him with them.
When they were in the forest they all heard leafs crunching behind them ,they turned around but there was nothing there so they kept on walking. But then they heard the dog cry and run off , they tried to call him but he wouldn't come back so they decided to go. On the way back they heard bangs and when they looked up there was something jumping from tree to tree it was very big .Then it jumped down at them and attacked them they ran as fast as they could but it was caching up fast. There was a cave a bit further on when they got to the cave they hid behind some rocks ,it came in after them and looked around then it ran out. A friend in need is a friend indeed

Hi! I'm Eimear and I'm going to tell you the story of "A friend in need is a friend indeed". Well, here it goes. Sam Comini is an 11-year-old boy with a love of squishing spiders. Well, there he was squishing spiders when he saw a spider drinking beer. So he followed it, and it led him to a web and Sam got eaten. When he woke he found himself in a school yard and an awful school yard at that, with chalk and blackboards everywhere. It really was dreadful. He went inside and it was called Lilly's School of Hate. He decided to look for a teacher to ask him/her where the phone was and if he could use it. So he went scouting around looking for a teacher. He saw a classroom and he looked in the window. He was shocked to see a little boy screaming and a teacher yelling at him. So Sam ran, as you would too. He saw a big plaque on a door saying "Principal Lilly Marcamige". He went in and said "Excuse me, Miss" and Lilly screamed and shouted and said "You know the rules in my school, NO MANNERS". He once again ran. This time he found himself in the boy's toilets. He met a boy called Carlos. Carlo said to him "Are you from here?" Sam said "No". Sam then said, "Why are you whispering?" He said, "Because there are video cameras that hear you and see you. They are down the toilet basin". At that moment a boy came out from the toilet next to them screaming. Carlos told Sam how to get out of the school. He told him to hug one of the male teachers. Both of them went into a class and went up to the teacher and hugged him and held hands and went back to where they came from. They have been good friends since. One day when they were playing they talked about the day in Lilly's school and Carlos said to Sam "Is that a frog drinking minestrone soup? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

SCHOOL

School's a drool,
Especially for you,
When you're sitting
Down, that's when
They call for you,
Pay attention they
Say your talking
To your friend
Aren't you?

Ding a ling a ling,
Your smashing part
Of the day, you
Shout out lunch
Time, 10:30 your
First brake, not
That long before
You're in for more
Work,

HIP, HIP hurray
Not that long
Away before
Another brake of
The day 12:15
You're tired now
But that's still
Not enough

Work, work, work
That's not fair,
2:30 you go home
And that's the end of a school day
