General Information Réalt na Mara School opened in 1954. This school replaced the old school which was located beside the Convent opening on to Mill St. There was a private primary school attached to St. Vincent's. This was amalgamated with Réalt na Mara in 1966. Réalt na Mara then became two schools - Junior and Senior. The Junior school is for Infants (4 year olds) to Fourth Class (9/10 year olds). We used to be an all girls school from second class on but a few years ago we decided to change into a mixed school with boys and girls in all classes. |
