Trip to Kilmarnock Four Fifth years: Sandra Davis, Louise Flood, Patricia Everitt, Charnjeet Gill were chosen to attend for mock interviews in Grange Academy, Kilmarnock, Scotland and spent four enjoyable days staying with host families. |
WOSL is
a Comenius project - students from Luxembourg, Ireland and Scotland attend mock interviews in Grange Academy Kilmarnock They are expected to present
themselves in a European language and conduct the
interview in their own language. The teachers enjoying the Scottish weather! |
Goal Fast The Fifth years have, so far, collected £1,500 for GOAL. This year the GOAL projects will help the victims of the hurricanes in Honduras and Guatemala. A representative from GOAL comes in every year to give a talk to the school and to show us how the money will be spent. This helps to motivate the girls (and some of their teachers also) doing the 24-hour fast and the generous people who sponsor them. |
Friendship Bracelets The First years did their bit to help the poor children of Chile by selling the 'friendship bracelets' made by the street children themselves. They raised £159 for Amnesty International - well done to them! Ms Breheny, who organised both projects is also responsible for organising the Goal Fast every year. |
