Lansdowne Road is situated on the southern branch of the Dart, between Grand Canal Dock and Sandymount. Lansdowne Road station is situated next to the national rugby stadium in which also international soccer matches and rock concerts take place. The railway line in northern direction runs underneath the Grand Stand.
