first generation Ty swing tag is a single heart. The font is thinner than
the later versions. The word ty" is outlined in gold. It does not have
the famous heart. The name and information are printed on the opposite
side of the heart.
The second generation Ty swing tag resembles
the first generation tag. The word "Ty" is outlined in gold. But it now
folds like a book and the name and information are on the inside of the
tag.
The third generation Ty tag folds like a book
with the name and information on the inside. T he heart shape is a different
style heart than the first two generations (rounder at the bottom.) The
word "Ty" is outlined in gold. This style lends its elf to a thicker and
larger font.
The fourth generation Ty swing tag folds like
a book with the name and information on the inside. The heart shape is
the same as the third generation tag and a star with a slogan "Original
Beanie Baby" is added.
The fifth generation Ty swing tag folds like
a book with the name and information on the inside. The heart shape is
like the third and fourth generation tag and the star with the slogan "Original
Beanie Baby" remains. The date of birth and the poem is printed in comic
sans font and centered on the tag. It does not have the style number printed
on the tag.
