Lions Mosney Holiday Here We Come!

On Saturday June 13th., twenty-eight of our Guests left on the annual Pilgrimage to Mosney for the Lions Mosney Holiday. During this week nearly 1100 Guests and approximately 150 Lions and Helpers renewed old friendships and make new ones too. This week was full of music,  fun and craic. This year, the Lions wiere honoured by the visit of President Mary McAleese.  By the end of the holiday, the Lions and helpers were totally shattered with exhaustion, while our guests once again showed us how full of energy our senior citizens really are.

Annual Golf Classic

District 105-I Web Site Launched

Once again the Thurles Lions Annual Golf Classic proved be be a most enjoyable day out for the Club Members and their supporters. The weather was excellent on the day and the golfers really enjoyed the event. Thurles Rugby Club team proved to be the winners on the day. At the prize-giving that night, Lion President Chris Delahunt paid tribute to the participants and assured them that the profits would be put to good use helping those in need.

£1,000 Donation
to
Order Of Malta

The Club decided recently to support the local Branch of the Order of Malta, who are currently trying to raise funds to purchase a new Ambulance. Lion President Pat presented £1,000 to them at the May meeting. They had just completed a CPR Training session for all the Lions present.
