Drumming

Our school started drumming with the help of Music Network last year. The school started drumming because everybody would enjoy it. Kevin O’Shanahan taught us different rhythms last year and then did a performance with us on Friday June 13th 1997 at the opening of the new extension. Then this year Kevin bought a friend Kelda who took a new group last week. Drumming is just so much fun. We did a brilliant performance last year at the school opening and we did another one this year on June 19th. People play hand drums, stick drums and base drums, people play the cowbells and use the shakers as well. We like drumming because you learn new beats and it’s lots of fun.

By Stacy Fitzpatrick and Glen Galvin.
