THE TRAIN STATION Long ago levers changed the tracks and now it's all done by computers. One man can now do the work of many men. Today a man can control a train from Dundalk to Dublin with the touch of a button. Dundalk station was built in 1906. My uncle works the controls of the trains. He works in a cabin in the train station. It is the last cabin to work this century. From now on it will be operated from Dublin. In Dundalk station there is a big clock above the door. It is the only train station in Dundalk. It's a very busy place and the trains move very fast. Years back men had to work very hard to change the tracks. By Serena |
