   St. Patrick's Day Celebrations:
Following the success of our trip to Montigny-Le-Bretonneux in France in 2003, our French twins have invited a number of musicians and dancers from Wicklow Comhaltas back for this year's Saint Patrick's weekend to Wicklow’s twin-town, Montigny-le-Bretonneux, near Paris, to add an Irish flavour to their St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Bon voyage!!!

Every summer the historic and picturesque valley of Glendalough resounds to the sound of traditional Irish music when musicians from all over County Wicklow gather for our annual summer open-air music session.
After the success of our open-air seisiún cheoil in Glendalough in summer of 2001, as part of our 50th anniversary celebrations of Comhaltas, it was decided to make this an annual event. After the picnic (to build up our energy levels!) the music begins at the ring fort beside the Upper Lake. Great craic is had by all and thankfully so far the sun has always stayed shining!
The 2004 seisiún took place on Sunday, July 25th, and was attended by over thirty musicians.
