Welcome to Music Matters Online, the homepages of one of the leading music schools in the West of Ireland.

This site is presently under construction, please check the site listing for a full breakdown of operable pages.

On the go since 1988, Music Matters has become an important element in music in Galway and Connaught.

Utilising an internationally recognised form of schooling, the Suzuki Method, Music Matters caters for children as young as four years old, right through their teens, providing them with a love and appreciation for music rarely imparted by other methods. Growing up with music as an accepted part of their routine, its students have gone on to play at international venues and before heads of state from around Europe.

If you are interested in providing your child with a musical education, and helping them to develop their talents, then Music Matters can help you do so. Take a look at the classes we have to offer (covering almost all orchestral instruments) and contact us for further details and class bookings.

Where we are:
Based in the village of New Inn, Music Matters' organisation covers almost all of the townlands of east county Galway. Follow the link for a more detailed breakdown of services per location and, of course, road maps and directions for our visitors!

The Suzuki Method:
Find out more about the Suzuki Method, a mode of teaching music to very young children which developes as they themselves grow older. Founded by the eminent Japanese, Dr. Suzuki, the Method is recognised worldwide as a brilliant and intuitive way of teaching music to children...

Realt na Mara:
Realt na Mara, meaning 'Star of the Sea' in Irish, is the title of this newest collection of ecclesiastical music in the Irish tradition from Maire Ni Dhuibhir - founder of Music Matters. Commissioned by the parish of Na bhForbacha on the Galway coast, the mass includes some of the most beautiful and popular Irish church music to be heard in Ireland today. Click for more details...
