Subject: Acknowledgement of receipt for my letter to you dated
December 29th 2000.
Dear President McAleese,
I sent a letter to you through the registered post on December 29th 2000 and to date I have not had
any response at all. (I did specifically request an acknowledgement of receipt from
you in the final paragraph of the letter in question.)
There is a copy of my letter of December 29th to you now on the internet
at the address below; and I would be very grateful if you could please confirm in
writing that you are aware of the letter's contents. Some of the issues involved seem
(to me) to be extremely serious; and I would like to be clear in my own mind that you (as
President of the Republic of Ireland, and overall guardian of its written Constitution)
are fully aware of them.
Since December 29th I have also added a small amount of information
on the Esker Riada to my web site at the address provided below. Please note
that this information includes several recent photographs of the eyesores left behind
by Galway County Council: after they removed most of the New Inn section of this
natural historic monument some years ago. (I have referred to these eyesores earlier
in the second paragraph from the end of my letter to you of December 29th 2000).
Yours sincerely,
Mr. William Finnerty.
