THE BREWING ENCLOSURE

Picture of the brew cupboard, used to keep the fermenting liquid at a controlled temperature.

This is a large insulated box with doors on the front and a thermostatically controlled heater, I made it from insulated panels intended for making cold stores, they were seconds from a local manufacturing company. The heater is a modified tumble dryer heating element ( be careful if you use this type of element it can cause a fire), the thermostat is a Smiths Industries ETU05 it's a plug in type that you plug the heater into and has a 5 foot wire for the sensor. Before I made this enclosure I used an old fridge it worked as good but was too small.
