CSPCA
Opening of CSPCA Clontarf Street 1936

The CSPCA was founded at a special meeting held at the Imperial Hotel on 19th November 1870. This meeting was called by the then Mayor Of Cork City, Wm. Hegarty at the request of a number of businessmen worried by the increase in the numbers of stray dogs in the City. The Society has grown from a small society in 1870 to the present society which covers the whole of the City and County.
