September : We went outside to see what minibeasts we could discover.

We shook different trees and  used a large umbrella to catch what fell down. We had great fun using the pooters to see what creatures we could suck up!

We thought about all the good things in God’s world and how there is enough in the world for everyone if we take care of it and learn to share.We thanked God for all the people who help us, providing us with what we need.

November: We acted as coordinators for all the shoe boxes collected for the charity Samaritan’s Purse who bring the gifts to children who do not get any Chrismas presentsThis year we collected 189? boxes which means a lot of happier children! We made a chain from our classroom ,and stacked them in the corridor downstairs and later when the van came to collect them we made another chain!

Later in November we travelled by public bus into Dublin to the National History Museum and to Trinity to see the Book of Kells. The 46A was so quick we had to wait for the museum to open! We became an attrction for some visitors from Croatia who were going into The Dáil! Thank you to Ms Glendon and Léonie who came with us.

December: We were busy doing science experiments to go towards our Primary Science award. We tried to find which eye was dominant and locate our blind spot .
Wqe had great fun learning about fingerprints and making copies of our own.

January: We welcomed Ms Marcie Fahlgren from Montana, USA to our class in January.
She taught us lots of fun things and loved doing drama with us. We tried to make rock candy crystals but something wasn’t quite right!!!

January: This month we also enjoyed meeting Cody from the Dog Trust!
