Senior Infants painted beautiful spring flowers in a vase. We are going to send our paintings into the Texaco Children’s Art Competition at the end of February. Mrs. Richards says that she wouldn’t like to be judging the paintings because they are all so good!
We also did a science experiment to see what materials are good at soaking up water. Each group had to try a different material – newspaper, tinfoil, cloth, tissue, plastic and sponge. We discovered that tissue, newspaper, cloth and sponge were absorbent but plastic and tin foil were not. That is why it’s good to use a cloth for mopping up spills! |
Senior Infants have been using the gymnastic equipment. We have been learning how to do different jumps off the box – star jump, knee tuck jump, corkscrew jump and reach for the stars jump. We have also been learning different ways of moving along the benches and rolling on the mats. We have been having great fun! |
