Welcome to Star Trek, the animated series. Never heard of it? It was the sequel to Star Trek (TOS) and predecessor to the movies. It featured all the original crew minus Chekov for a Saturday morning animated show. 22 episodes in all were screened, 2 seasons. But you can find out all this, and much more, at Curt Danhauser's guide to the Animated Star Trek. To begin with there is a series background, introducing you to a fascinating and almost forgotten piece of Star Trek Lore. Then delve into the depths of this series, with episode guides. There are picz to accompany throughout. A Timeline is interwoven into all pages (i.e. click on a Stardate etc., you are brought to it), also with picz. To acquaint you with the characters, old and new, there is a cast list, with crew member's individual history and picz. The wonders don't cease with this. There is a comprehensive technical section, with a rundown on all 20 vehicles seen in the show. Many more than the original series, as it was simpler to do. Also the insignia can be seen. This section goes into fascinating detail, with an explanation of the differing Klingon battlecruisers in Star Trek (TOS) and this series. To end with there is production information, including all the credits, and some background info. The production process is explained too. Well worth a visit, and definitely 4 Star GOLD in LinkZone. |

The Core is a virtual goldmine for Webdesigners, particularly those in desperate need of help. And help they receive. A Very comprehensive hints, tips and information section on HTML, Webdesign and Graphic Design is in my opinion the cornerstone of this site. Not just a load of HTML code, this is much better, outlining dreadful errors in web design, and how to avoid them. Also giving some advice of how to make your site look good. <- Watch out for ForbiddenZone, a Non-Trek site, debuting in the Summer, with a lot of my personal tips, and some processes I use to achieve results -> A Webmaster will also need some resources, particularly, Star Trek stuff. You won't be disappointed. There are over twenty sounds, useful for websites, bleeps bloobles, etc. Background images are another important feature, there are more than 10. Finally there's about 10 fonts. Free stuff is also useful. Where to put your site (Webspace), Free Email, etc. There are links to other places offering free stuff too. Coming soon is a section with info on how to make money from your site. I don't approve of this. (*It also means you can't put that disclaimer, that Star Trek stuff is used for non-commercial purposes). Finally there are various Links sections, including the Top 50 Trek Sites, Click the image on left to vote for me :o) and some other sections, like the Elite Trek Sites (Detailed info on few sites), and a free to air section. (You can post a link instantly). Click here to post a link on TCZ (albeit not instant). The Star Trek Animated GIF Archive has the same new look as the core, but remains as a subsite. I have decided to link to both individually, as I did with the USS Renegade and Renegade Treklist before they separated. Visit The Core now, ranked 4 Star in LinkZone. |
