1998 has been a very successful year for the W.C.T.T.A as the first International Table Tennis event was held in Skibbereen Sports Centre. A four nations junior & cadet combined international was played from April 15th-16th which saw some excellent performances. We were especially pleased to see the Irish junior team take the gold in an exciting final against England. As well as team success there was all Irish finals in both the boys and girls junior individual events. The event got some excellent coverage locally and nationally and showed that there is a growing interest in the sport in this area.
