Recent professional experience: 1997-distance education information consultant (working
principally with the European Training Foundation, Hobsons Publishing, the International research Foundation for Open Learning, Unesco, and the World Bank)
1983-1997 founding Director of the International Centre for Distance Learning at the
UK Open University. The Centre established an online/CD-ROM distance education database and was involved in many international projects.
