Glinsk Song Contest 2006
The winning entry, "Every Melody", was composed by Una Healy and Owen Brady, and sung by Una Healy. Their song received 66 points. Second place went to "When All Is Said And Done", receiving 64 points, composed and sung by Sarah Finnegan. "Freeze The Frame", composed and sung by Jane Farrell, finished third, a further point behind on 63 points. "When All Is Said And Done", the song that finished second, lead after the first adjudicator's scores had been added to the scoreboard. As each adjudicator's score was added to the scoreboard it became obvious that there was going be two main contenders for first place. "Paradise", written and performed by Debra Wallace looked like a potential winner after receiving 9 points from the first adjudicator, but eventually finished fourth.
Lucia Evans, the winner of Your A Star 2006, entertained the audience while the adjudicators came to their decision on the finalists. The 2006 contest attracted more than 100 entries from all over Ireland. ·2007 results |
