Reader Review
Excellent Companion to the Video,
January 20, 2003
Reviewer: Linda Vigneri from

When it comes to weight loss, I am the type of person
that doesn't want to just be told what to do, I want to
know why. Ms. Deason's book appealed to me because she
offered just that. About 2/3 of the book is devoted to
various yoga poses, offering step-by-step instructions (with
plenty of illustration), and a list of the benefits that
each pose brings to your body. She effectively explained
the "mind-body connection" that is inherent to
yoga (which is a new concept to me), and the important
role it plays in every aspect of your life. She does a
wonderful job of speaking to the other key aspects of
weight loss including nutrition, emotional well being,
and striking a balance in a hectic world. Ms. Deason
truly speaks to the importance of understanding your body
and provides effective, practical tools that help set you
on the path in the right direction. Informative,
practical, and effective are three words I feel best
describe "Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss." I
recommend it to anyone that wants to gain a better
understanding of both "how" and "why"
yoga offers a healthy approach to life.

A friend of mine and I were looking at some of the new
yoga books and this one just popped out at us. we do yoga
about 4 nights a week and we needed some new material.
Yoga Turns Back the Clock was a amazing because it showed
us a whole new perspective on yoga and showed us how it
can be used to tone, to burn fat, or best of all to look
younger. We have been using the book for only a few weeks
but we think that it is best yoga book we have bought in
a while. we love the approach and the style. it is also
great for beginners, like us, who are not as flexible as
many other yoga books expect you to be. Yoga Turns BAck
the CLock challenges us without making us get into
positions that we could not even begin to. i love this
book and suggest it for anyone who likes doing yoga or
wants to start.

Reader Review
My review after day 1, April 22, 2002
Reviewer: Amy Sperry
(see more about me at Amazon.com)
from Tulsa, Oklahoma
After only one day of this work out, I feel amazing. My
legs feel long with a line of strong muscles all the way
down. I can feel the results now, but I'm sure I will see
the results in the future. (And my husband loved to watch!)
I have only 3 complaints so far: 1. I needed someone to
read the steps to me for each exercise because they tend
to be rather involved. 2. 30 minutes was not enough time.
I needed about 45 minutes to be able to complete all the
repititions and another extra 15 minutes if I wanted to
do the suggested meditation. 3. The exercises needed
pictures for each of the various steps involved in the
exercise rather than just one picture. Some of the moves,
I had to hope was right. I'm going to have to draw stick
figures in myself, I guess.
