3rd - 7th March - Week 15
Meanwhile, meet First Class!! They had the opportunity during this quiet time to see what has been going on behind the hoarding. Other classes will get the same chance during the week.
There's not a lot happening on site at the moment. Deliveries of the steel for the floor are awaited. When they arrive, the floor slab will be cast and the brick layers will return - hopefully just after St. Patrick's Day!
On Wednesday, it was the turn of Second Class. They were full of questions and enjoyed seeing the progress that is being made. And indeed, things are pressing on ...
... as you can see from these photos. The steel has been delivered and we can now see the final height of the hall. These were bolted and concreted directly to the foundations. Because the steel supports were a little late arriving, the casting of the floor slab has been deferred to next week.
The service pipes are being fixed into place in readiness for the pouring of the floor.
