22^nd September - 3^rd October - Weeks 45 - 46

Time has come to choose colours for floor covering. Each classroom will be carpeted, leaving a section of non-slip marmoleum in the wet areas.

Liz, Richard Hannay and I met in the office and started going through the various options available. Contractors will arrive in a matter of weeks to put these down. The Board of Management had the chance to view our ideas and a final choice was made.

The interior will be painted an off-white colour and once again, contractors will shortly be arriving to start this.

Plasterers have arrived and have been busy working on the exterior of the building. This will be painted - though the
colour is uncertain yet. Around the central courtyard will also be plastered. A wooden surround is now framing the
Science/Art Room window and in time a copper front piece will be mounted to give the front of the school a trendy look!
The ceilings are going in this week.

The picture on the left is where the lift will be positioned. The lift has been manufactured and is waiting to be called on site.

I thought you would like to get a look at one of our site meetings. These take place every fortnight, usually on a Friday.

Finally, it is looking a little unlikely that we will move into the new building after half term, as we had planned. It now appears that mid November is more realistic.
