    25th November 2002 - Day 1

At last, after years of waiting and anticipation, the builders arrive! However, in order to allow the construction traffic enter school, a little careful demolition had to take place. Our foreman for this project, Joe Sweeney, is on the right and Jim Corkery, site manager, is on the left

Finally, construction traffic gained access and site offices were installed. They gained two honorary builders in the process!

It's so encouraging that at last things have started to happen. Even more encouraging to learn that the building of our new school should take less than a year - we hope to have moved in by Hallowe'en of next year! Next weekend, our temporary school will be positioned on site and services connected during the following week. Then we move in and demolition of the existing school takes place.

We'll keep you up to date with all developments on these pages.
